Privacy policy

Last updated October 27, 2026

MNJ CPA Professional Corporation (“MNJ CPA”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the confidentiality requirements of the CPA Ontario Code of Professional Conduct.

Information we collect

  • Contact details you provide through our contact form, by email or by phone, such as your name, email address, phone number and the nature of your enquiry.
  • Client information needed to deliver our services, such as tax slips, financial records, Social Insurance Numbers and business documents. This is collected only after you engage us.
  • Website data such as anonymous, aggregated usage statistics. We do not use advertising trackers.

How we use your information

We use personal information only to respond to enquiries, provide and bill for professional services, meet our legal and regulatory obligations (including those of the Canada Revenue Agency and CPA Ontario), and communicate with you about your engagement.

Disclosure

We never sell or rent your information. We disclose personal information only with your consent, to the CRA or other government bodies when filing on your behalf, to trusted service providers bound by confidentiality (such as secure document portals and tax software providers), or when required by law or professional regulation.

Safeguards and retention

We protect information using physical, administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted file transfer and access controls. We keep client records for at least the periods required by the CRA and professional standards, and then destroy them securely.

Contact form

Messages sent through our website contact form are collected and stored by our customer relationship management provider, LeadConnector (HighLevel), on our behalf, and are used only to respond to your enquiry. The form may set cookies needed for it to work.

Cookies and live chat

We use only the cookies needed for the website and contact form to work, plus anything you choose to allow. When you first visit, we ask whether you want to turn on:

  • Live chat: our AI chat assistant, provided by LeadConnector (HighLevel), which stores a visitor ID so a conversation can continue across pages.
  • Analytics: tools that show us how the site is used. We do not currently run any.
  • Marketing: cookies that measure our advertising on Google, LinkedIn and Meta.

These are off unless you allow them, and you can change your choice at any time.

Maps and third-party content

Our contact page includes an optional Google Map that loads only when you choose to show it. Google may set cookies once the map loads, under Google’s own privacy policy.

Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent subject to legal or contractual restrictions. To make a request or ask a question, contact our privacy officer at info@mnjcpa.ca or +1 (647) 560-6570.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
